Traveling with a toddler made easier

Travelling with a toddler isn't as easy as packing and going.Children really have a mind of their own. However difficult as it may be here are some tips to make your trip enjoyable.

Think ahead

I know you must always be positive...positive vibes only... but when it comes to travelling think of everything and anything that could go wrong. For example you might say well no need to put a whole pack of diapers in the carry on bag cause at home you change your child lets say once or twice in 8 hours.Well things change when travelling he might get a tummy upset and you gonna need to change his diaper frequently to keep him comfy so better be safe than sorry right?Well of course mumma you cant carry the whole diaper packet.

Pray

God above all else. Some people dont make it to the end of their journey. So staying prayed up is always key.Pray for God's guidance and protection over the journey and for little bambino to have a safe flight.

Pack smart

A lotta extras are what you should have in your bag.Extra diapers, extra clothes, extra toys. But keep in mind the baggage allowance. Also remember to bring in important documents like your child's birth certificate some countries may ask you for one.

Something to nibble on

Ensure that when taking off and landing if your baby is awake he is nibbling on something to keep the ear pressure discomfort at bay.

Distractions

Long flights can be a drag so to keep your baby entertained you have to create an environment thats close to home.If he likes watching his cartoons make sure your laptop or phones have his favourite cartoon on.

Partner up

I thank God for my husband. On this first trip with Kai he would walk with him, play with him and hold him when I was tired. Its great to have someone who can help out when the load gets a lil heavier. Before boarding the plane also buy time by making your tot run around. Yes, get them tired so they will doze off most of the journey making it easier for you.

Dress comfortable

You want to be comfortable for the journey ahead.Believe me.If possible travelling during the night time makes it easier for your tot to doze off cause the day has already been spent.Make sure your little tot is in his comfy clothes too.

Be realistic

If you get tired you can imagine how tired your mini me gets and for children they do not really know how to handle all that exhaustion so they let it out the only way the know how, by crying.Yes it will disturb the other passengers and even bother you too, cause you are tired as well ,but you gotta remember, he is just a baby and babies cry anyone who has one will cut you some slack.
