3 tips to handle baby skin

Baby skin has to be the most sensitive of all and it requires some TLC.When my son was four months old he developed Eczema that left him with discoloured patches on his skin.It was bad.

My husband and I grew super worried and we tried everything we could.

The pediatrician

suggested some lotions such as Eucerin but nothing seemed to work. Here are some three tips that helped my baby's skin to recover.

Before we started using buds

Keep it emollient

We opted for a natural steroid-free cream called BUDS Eczema Rescue Kit and it worked.

Within a week we saw some changes to his skin the patches cleared up and his skin was even toned. We shaved his hair and after using the shampoo and the Flaky scalp oil the pus filled sores cleared up and he was back to his usual self.Thank God.I also stopped bathing him twice, yes,I didn’t know that was unnecessary. It just made his skin more dry. So after a warm bath i would pat him dry and quickly apply the cream on.

Keep that cotton-on

Opt for cotton based material for your baby's clothing and bedding and wash them often as possible. There are many mild laundry detergents to use and if you use your regular detergent just rinse it off thoroughly to remove some residue.Cotton is ideal for your lo cause it’s breathable and will make him sweat less.

a week after applying Buds

Keep it irritant free

Vacuuming the house frequently keeps dust mites at bay.Use a damp cloth when dusting so the dust won’t escape in the air and irritate your baby.Make sure your lo’s environment is free from dust, pet hair and smoke amongst other irritants.

There is no one shoe-fits-all solution when it comes to babies really. What works for Betty might not work for Apollo.I guess that is why being a mom, dad or caregiver is an awesome job, you got super powers to discern what’s better for your loved one, so trust your instincts.Refer to a pediatrician as soon as possible.

Hope these tips helped you and your little one. What do you use to keep your baby's skin soft?
